01.11.08 YASS (NSW) 0855hrs Source: AUFORN ONLINE UFO Report Form Witness: Mrs. S Number of witnesses present: 3 Sighting Duration: 2 minutes Occupation: Student Observation: I was parked at the end of Rossi Street in Yass on 1 Nov. 2008 to watch for falling stars. At 20:55 hours, I saw two light points travelling from the south to north. When these two lights intersected, I saw a third light. All three lights crossed each others path and then flew in a straight line for a while until the distances between the three objects became greater. The first object then continued north, the second in a N/E direction and the third object flew east. All three objects flew in a straight line. They did not have blinking lights as civilian aircraft would and they flew in an upward trajectory until we could no longer see them. Description: Three independently moving lights. - Actual Size: Can't tell as it was night. - Altitude: Not possible to ascertain as it was night and the objects did not cross any buildings. - Object Origin: south - Object Destination: north, north-east and east - Moon Visible: The moon was visible and there were no clouds in the sky. The moon was 90 degrees to the left of the objects. Moon Size Comparison: Same size as a star. - Planets Visible: Yes.Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Sunny. Observation: While observing a bright light which has been appearing on a regular basis in the western sky (see my other report) I saw some flashing lights out of the corner of my eye. I was shocked to see a craft flying quietly over my house with no noise and traveling from north to south over Lake Munmorah. The rear was clearly visible as I was already looking through binoculars at the other light. There were two tail lights on either corner of the object, which were both flashing at the same time at one second intervals. These lights were extremely bright very much like strobe lights. There were no other coloured lights visible. Description: No sound -just traveling at a regular speed across the sky as would a plane. - Apparent Size Other: Bigger than the planes which fly over a lot. - Actual Size: It was bigger than a regular plane (or else it was extremely big if it was higher up.) Altitude: Not sure but this seemed like it was flying low as it was so clearly visible - I could see the tail lights and the faint outline of the craft. Object Origin: From the north. - Object Destination: To the south and disappeared high into the sky, but the flashing strobe-lights were visible to the naked eye for the full 5 minutes before it disappeared. Moon Visible: Yes the moon was easily seen. - Moon Size Comparison: Observation: Sitting on balcony first floor facing east. Dark, clear no stars visible. - Observed a apparently reflected light about three times the size of an average star at a height of about 50 degrees. Noticed it was moving from south west to north east apparently losing height and when it was about 20 degrees height it disappeared. I got the impression the object was in space and when it hit the earths shadow it disappeared. It was well out to sea. My wife S also observed the object. Satellite? Space junk? it was pretty big. A few min stars began to appear. Tomakin is a few klms south of Batemans Bay Actual Size: Larger than any aircraft - Altitude: Space Object Origin: South West - Object Destination: North east Moon Visible: No - Moon Size Comparison: Much smaller Planets Visible: No - Weather Visibility: Clear, Mild, Breezy. Comment: I have spoken with John and will post the 1953 sighting ASAP Other Experiences: Observed "flying saucer" at Katoomba in about 1953 As it was getting further away it got steadily dimmer until it faded to a red light with 2 faint blue one's either side. The lights then went out. It was not as if it got too far to see, the lights just seemed to dim out. The object made no sound. Description: Driving down Mundijong road towards Rockingham I noticed an extremely bright star. It was so low and so bright that I thought it must be a plane but it did not flicker once and seemed to only move slightly in the one spot very suddenly. It was in view the entire length of Mundijong Road. I turned left onto Baldivis Road and lost it to my right. I then turned right onto my estate and should have been able to have a perfect view and it was gone. I looked for half hour and it did not return. TV/Radio: No I did not report to anyone other than family and a friend. Shape of objects: Bright Lights Weather Conditions: Clear, Fair Description: We (Myself and My Mum) Where driving home from a bodyshop party at 10.00pm Friday night. We seen a cars head lights shining over the top of the hedges around the corner, just before we got around the corner we dipped our car head lights, we were only 300 meters away from our house, and half way between our house and the corner sat two head lights, (well what we thought where headlights) the light was fairly bright, and I was waiting for them to dip their lights, but it didn't happen, we were around 200 meters away from the lights, then the lights went off to the side of the road and were just gone. (There was no roads or gates or clear open paddocks, that if it was a car, it had nowhere to turn) The lights just disappeared, it was crazy. Shape of objects: Elongated, cigar-shaped most likely, Weather Conditions: Not a cloud in sight. Cool night. Description: I was outside having a cigarette when I routinely scanned the sky for UFOs (a habit I have, and that has proven successful on two other occasions). I saw an elongated, possibly cigar-shaped object, sitting in the sky with flashing lights along its side. I stayed for 10 minutes and it did not move. I kept checking back and it still didn't move. After half an hour it was gone. Observation: A black object was noticed in the sky flying over our backyard. It was shaped like a diamond / rectangle, at first we were wondering if it was a kite, but soon rejected this idea as it smoothly travelled across the sky from the north west going towards south east, in a steady direct motion, below cloud level, in its continuous soundless flight. We don't know how big it was as this depended on the distance between us and it. We have no idea what it was and would love to find out if possible?? Description: As mentioned above, there was no sound at all, while it flew past. It travelled so smoothly, maintaining its height, direction and speed (not at all like it was travelling on the wind). It kept going until it was a tiny dot in the sky and we couldn't see it any longer in the distance. It did not deviate at all off its path. There was 5 of us that watched it and thought it looked like a diamond or a slightly rectangle shape, solid black in colour. Location: Populated suburban area of Canberra. There were 5 of us that watched it and are all family members - Apparent Size Other: originally like a kite - Actual Size: as above, it originally looked like the size of a kite, although in further inspection, it was too high up, and this made it hard to work out its actual size, as it would later seem that it was much bigger than a kite. - Altitude: Just below cloud level - Object Origin: North west to south east, above our backyard. - Object Destination: It just kept going on its path, until we couldn't see it any longer.Moon Visible: It was still light, so did not notice the moon. Weather Visibility: Clear, Warm, Calm Observation: this sighting report may be unusual in that we (3 of us) did NOT actually see this object. We were returning from a weekend in Bendigo and had stopped at the old Catalina aircraft located tethered to the ground on the shore of Lake Boga Vic (near Swan Hill) for a few minutes break from the car. During this time my uncle who was with us took a number of photos of the aircraft and the Lake, as it is the first time we have ever seen the lake completely dry. 8 photos were taken in total. On arriving home I downloaded the photos to this computer and we looked them over. To our surprise we saw an object in 2 of the photos, in the distance, on zooming in they appeared to be not identifiable by us. It should be noted that the pics in question were taken at approx 180 degrees from each other within about 2 to 3 minutes of each other. The object does not appear in any other photos from this camera either before or after the "sighting". Someone suggested maybe dust on the lens or CCD. We dont believe so as the object remains in relative perspective as you zoom in or out. We have since had one of the photos enhanced by a tv station employee (friend of ours). The enhanced pic although darker shows a more distinct shape to the object....... If you email me at the above address I will gladly return mail the photos to you . We're interested to hear if anyone else may have seen this object. Description: no , definately no sound, the area is very quiet and rural, strange sounds would have been obvious. - Location: Edge of Lake Boga , near Swan Hill in Northern Victoria Other Witnesses: 2 others present in our group plus another family also viewing the aircraft and lake. It is unknown if they saw the object at all. I'll assume that since there was no pointing and commenting that they did not see it. - Actual Size: difficult to judge, the far side of the lake is several kms from where we took the photos and the object appears to be further again. so it would appear to be large. - Altitude: judge for yourself - Object Origin: no idea - Object Destination: assuming it continued its same path from pic 1 to pic 2 it would have been heading westerly. - Weather Visibility: Clear - Weather Temp: Warm - Weather Sky: Sunny - Weather Wind: Calm - Weather Comments: just a normal day in this area - Viewing Aids: photos Other Experiences: last summer I chased a "fireball" like object that had been "hovering" above my township late on a saturday night ( no alcohol involved), remained in my sight for approx 3 to 4 minutes in total. I chased it in my V8 Fairlane at which time it rapidly accelerated away and into the distance and then angled down without actually "turning" as such, then dissapeared behind the horizon approx 5km away. Clear , warm/hot night , no perceptible sound, no reference for sizing, it did appear to shower some sparks at one time. bit weird really. Observation: Just witnessed a strange object in the sky for about 3 mins. I live about 15kms north of central Wollongong, NSW. Went outside and looked south toward the city. In the sky was an extremely bright object maybe 5-10kms from my position. At first it moved upward very quickly, which caught my attention. Too fast to be a helicopter. It was an immensely bright white light. It hovered for about a minute with a light shining toward the ground at an angle. This light was also white. It began ascending into cloud cover with the beam of light remaining pointed at the ground. I then saw it turn off some lights but the beam remained focused toward the ground. It then moved even higher into the clouds, and further away from me with the beam of light clearly visible against the clouds. Then, all the lights simply turned off. I heard no sound the entire time. Just wanted to report it and hope that someone else may have seen it. Could be an ETV but my hunch is that its some sort of govt black op or ARV (alien reproduction vehicle). Apparent Size: Tennis Ball - Weather Visibility: Clear, Pleasant, Cloudy, Calm Event_Description: Received: on 03/11/2008 23:58:42 - December 2000 MOREE (NSW) January February March April May June July August September October November December
